Over 130 participants joined the UArctic Assembly 2025 in Inari, Sápmi, Finland, hosted by the Sámi Education Institute. This year marked the highest number of new members ever approved, reflecting UArctic’s expanding reach and collaborative strength.

UArctic warmly welcomes this year’s newly approved and endorsed Thematic Networks, confirmed during the Assembly in Inari. These initiatives highlight our members’ shared commitment to collaboration and knowledge exchange across the Arctic and beyond.




Following today's productive day of pre-meetings, this year's UArctic Assembly has kicked off and will continue with the business meetings tomorrow.


Observation of Change is an art project based in Nordic collaboration with a nature restoration project ”Observation – An observation of change” at the Junkerdal area in Saltdal municipality, Norway.

UArctic and World Maritime University (WMU) will co-host a 90-minute session at Nor-Shipping conference in Oslo, 4th of June at 13:30-15:00.



As is UArctic's tradition, the themes of the UArctic Congress align with the program priorities of the Arctic Council Chairship at the time of the event. In the 2026 Congress we are therefore following the priorities set by the Kingdom of Denmark for their 2025-2027 Chairship.
